Less Details
This session is about the seamless integration of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) to digitalize and automate manufacturing processes. By leveraging advanced technologies such as IoT, AI, and data analytics, production processes can be optimized, equipment efficiency improved, and real-time monitoring and control enabled. This convergence enables better decision-making, predictive maintenance, and overall operational excellence in manufacturing facilities. Digitalized manufacturing equipment not only increases productivity but also enhances quality, reduces downtime, and ensures a more agile and competitive manufacturing environment. In this session, we share our real-life learnings in setting up a strategic process and our best practices in implementing IIoT and AI for manufacturing.
In this session we will discuss how,
Christoph Schwab has gained a broad range of experiences in production and supply chain related functions. This includes leadership positions in manufacturing and operational excellence programs, working in strategy consulting and being responsible for business development in a software startup.
Currently, he oversees the digitalization strategy for Siemens Healthineers' Medical Electronics business unit. This function comprises developing a strategic road map and guiding the strategy process (hoshin kanri) to align digitalization activities across departments and sites. It further includes identifying and evaluating innovation as well as new opportunities in the field of digitalization and consulting on strategic activities. In addition, he leads digitalization projects in areas such as IIoT, Analytics, and AI.
Striving for excellence is my passion! Digitalization has unlocked immense potential in recent years and promises even more opportunities ahead. I’m driven by enabling factories to utilize and harness the full potential of digitalization combing it with a kaizen mindset and traditional Lean Management Tools.
Mia Gao has over a decade of experience as a Senior Consultant in digitalization for PLM and SCM, particularly with data analytics and IoT. For the past four years, she has been working at Siemens Healthineers. In addition to her experience as an IT Program Manager for Smart Factory programs, she led the IT Service Management team for several years. This has given her a comprehensive understanding of both business processes and IT processes and operations.
Currently, Mia is driving several strategic digitalization implementations in the area of product lifecycle excellence, such as "Generative AI and AI for SCM."
Personally, Mia is passionately dedicated to enhancing business agility and efficiency throughout the entire product lifecycle through IT services and innovations. Her vision is to achieve holistic and sustainable optimization of business operations through technological innovations.
